Which payment methods can I use?
Boden.com accepts the payment methods below:
– Most major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover
– Apple Pay (unavailable for items shipped from the UK)
– Shop Pay
– PayPal (unavailable for pre-order items)
– Boden Gift Cards
– Boden account credit (more information can be found under ‘How to use my boden account credit’)
All credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization. If your payment is declined for authorization, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
When will I be charged?
In most instances, we only take payment when your items have been shipped. Only items that are available are charged so, if you buy a pre-order item(s), we won’t charge you for it until it is sent to you. There may be circumstances in which pre-order items will be charged prior to being shipped.
Extra information for orders including pre-order items:
- Afterpay & PayPal are not available on orders containing pre-order items.
- In the circumstance that the authorisation for your order is held by your bank, this will be released within 30 days, but this is dependent on their policies.
- For any Monzo cards, authorisations will show as a separate charge and refund.
How do I use my Boden account credit?
Account credit can be used on our entire range (including sale items), has no expiry date, and is valid in conjunction with any offer! We think it’s great but, just so you know, account credit can only be used on orders placed on our website, and only the full amount of credit can be used (up to the value of your order).
To use your account credit, please log in to your account, select your items, and click ‘Checkout now’. Your credit will appear once you reach the ‘Payment’ section, where you will see the ‘Apply account credit’ tick box. Make sure this is checked, and your credit will be applied straight away, leaving any outstanding amount to be paid.
Once you log in to your account, you can check your account credit balance at any point, by following the steps below:
- Click on the person icon in the top-right corner of our website
- Select ‘My account’ from the list that appears.
- Move your mouse back to the top-right corner and click on the downward pointing arrow (next to your initials).
- Select ‘Profile’ to see your account details, including your available account credit.
Paying with Apple Pay and account credit
To combine express payment methods with account credits, you must first log in to your account. Navigate to the “Payment” step in the checkout process and select the “Account Credit” checkbox. After applying the credit, you can return to the “Information” step and choose Apple Pay to complete your purchase. This process allows both payment methods to be used together.
Pricing
All payments are made in US dollars. If you use a card in a currency other than US dollars, the rate of exchange and any additional fees will be set by your card issuer.
Taxes may apply and the price may be adjusted at checkout.
